Abstract

981,327. Insulators. DEMAG-ELECKTROMETALLURGIE G.m.b.H. April 26, 1961 [May 7, 1960], No. 15142/61. Heading H2C. In electric arc and reduction furnaces, the bare conductors are protected by spacer insulators 2 made of resilient material preferably synthetic resin or rubber, which are perforated at 6 or slotted for air passage and provided with grooves 3 for connection by a member 4 with an insulator on an adjacent conductor. Interconnection may alternatively be achieved by means of press stud or similar means (Fig. 3, not shown).
