[Also in Division B5] A method of producing a steel pipe having a cladding of a synthetic resin material includes the steps of heating the pipe and applying thereto an impact adhesive in molten form to provide a covering of such adhesive of predetermined thickness, and then passing the pipe through a die to extrude on to the pipe a coating of the synthetic resin material. The adhesive may comprise a mixture of rosin and rubber together with an anti-oxidant substance and linseed or other vegetable drying oil, and the synthetic resin may be polyvinyl chloride.
