979, 247. Reinforcing structures. BAUSTAHLGEWEBE G.m.b.H. Jan. 31, 1963 [Jan. 31, 1962], No. 3941/63. Heading D1K. A cylindrical reinforcement for a concrete shelter comprises an inner cylindrical wire framework 1 of longitudinal and transverse metallic members welded together and an outer cylindrical wire framework 5 of similar form connected together by a wire framework 2 of the same construction but which has been deformed into a zig-zag configuration extending in a cylindrical path so that the framework 1 lies at its inside and the framework 5 lies at its outside. Rods 6 extending within the turning points 3, 4 at the inside and outside of the cylindrical framework 2 pass over the inner and outer frameworks 1, 5 to retain them in position. The ends of the cylindrical reinforcement are closed by flat wire frameworks 8, 8<SP>1</SP> formed of wires at right angles welded together the ends of the wire being bent at right angles in line with the cylindrical reinforcement to which they are connected. A second layer of flat reinforcements at an angle of 45 degrees to the first may be placed over the first layer at the ends of the cylindrical reinforcement.
