975,181. Paper sacks. BOWATER RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CO. Ltd. March 10, 1961 [March 11, 1960], No. 8733/60. Heading B8K. The surfaces defining the valve opening of a multiply blockbottom paper sack are coated with wax or a silicone to prevent adhesion thereon of adhesive used in the formation of the sack. A valve sleeve may be formed by a paper tube coated on its inner surface with wax or a silicone or the valve opening of the sack may incorporate a liner of stiff material, such as cardboard, which is coated on the side facing the valve opening.
