Abstract

975,029. Shovelling machines. STEELFAB Ltd. Aug. 16, 1963 [Aug. 24, 1962], No. 32566/62. Heading E1F. In a shovelling machine a vertically swingable shovel-carrying boom is mounted for rotation about a vertical pivot in a yoke 28 embracing a support frame secured to extend transversely of a vehicle and hydraulically actuated means are provided to positively lock the yoke to the frame in any selected position on the frame. The means comprises rams 44, 45 pivotally connected to lugs 40, 41 pivoted on the yoke at 42 the lugs being caused to engage against V-section tracks 25, 27 on the cross members 21, 22 of the frame when the yoke is to be locked thereto. The yoke is slidably positioned on the frame by lugs 36 embracing a guide track 24 on the upper cross member of the frame and lugs 38 engaging beneath a guide rail 39 adjacent the lower guide track 25 of the frame.
