Abstract

974,519. Dynamometers. SIEMENS & HALSKE A. G. Dec. 20, 1961 [Dec. 28, 1960], No.45710/61. Heading G1W. A dynamometer box gauge comprises connected springs 1, 2 formed by cuts or openings in a resilient sheet. Springs 1 carry extensometer strips b on parts which undergo constant stress when the force to be measured is applied to springs 1 through the intermediary of distance piece c and ball segment d. Springs 2 rest on distance pieces e fixed to the dynamometer box. The embodiment shown has two radially arranged groups of springs but a greater number of groups is possible.
