[Also in Division F1] In a radial cylinder pump, motor or clutch in which the cylinder block 5 gyrates within the casing I and the piston heads oscillate on members 18, the pistons comprise an outer sleeve 15 having a head 16 engageable with a portion 17 of the member 18 and a core 14 having a head 19 engageable with a portion 20 of the member 18, the cross-sectional area ratio of the two plungers and the inclination of the engaging surfaces are so selected that there is no thrust component directed axially of the machine. The rotary drive crank 4 includes valve means. The casing and block may rotate and the stroke of the pistons may be variable.
