[Also in Division G4] An electronic odometer comprises an n-stage (n= 11 say) binary divider receiving pulses from a tachometer generator on a vehicle and set to apply one pulse to an electro-mechanical distance counter upon receipt of every M pulses corresponding to a standard unit of distance (say <1>/10 of a mile), M being less than 2<n>.
