A collapsible band for use as a warning barrier or decorative garland comprises a series of units joined end to end, each unit comprising two end faces 2 and from two to eight (four as shown) flexible connecting faces 1. Each end face is provided with perforations 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 protected by eyelets. A support member 9 comprising a steel wire in a sheath passes through the perforations 8 and is clamped at 14 at each end into a loop for attachment to a fixed support. The terminal end-faces each comprise a thickened portion of flexible material, and through two of its perforations is passed an attachment member 16 having its inner ends clamped at 17 and being clamped at 18 into a loop.
