A cardboard blank for making up framed pictures or posters has a central area 1 printed with a picture and extension pieces or flaps 2, 3, 4, 5 adjoining the margin of this area 1 are bent along score lines 10-21 to form square sleeves which are stuck with their edges 22-25 on the back 26 of area 1. Sloping edges 27-30 are inserted into transverse slots 31-34.
