Abstract

A combined detergent and sterilizing composition comprises an aqueous solution of a mixture lf: (1) a non-ionic wetting agent of the alkylphenoxy - poly(ethylene-oxy) ethanol type having the formula <FORM:0964448/C4-C5/1> where R is an alkyl radical and n may vary from 10 to 15; (2) a sequestering agent comprising an alkali metal salt of an amino-polycarboxylic acid or mixtures of salts of such acids; (3) a bactericidal agent comprising an alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride in which the alkyl group contains 8 to 18 carbon atoms. The amounts of agents (1) and (2) may be varied between 10 and 80% and agent (3) may be between 5 and 20%, all percentages based on the total weight of active material.ALSO:A combined detergent and sterilizing composition comprises an aqueous solution of a mixture of (1) a non-ionic wetting agent of the alkylphenoxypoly (ethylene-oxy) ethanol type having the general formula <FORM:0964448/A5-A6/1> where R is an alkyl radical and n may be 10-15, (2) a sequestering agent comprising an alkali metal salt of an amino-polycarboxylic acid or mixtures of salts of such acids, (3) a bactericidal agent comprising an alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride in which the alkyl group contains 8-18 carbon atoms.
