960,820. Napkin covers. V.G. (INVERNESS) Ltd. March 10, 1961 [April 12, 1960], No. 13021/60. Heading A3V. A waterproof garment for supporting absorbent pads or napkins is formed from a rectangular sheet 10 e.g. of nylon which is pleated along lines 16, 17 at edges 11, 12 in such a way as to reduce the length of one of the other edges. In wear, the longer rear edge 14 is secured to the front edge 13 by press studs 19 which also serve to retain the pleats 22, Fig. 5, and pleats (not shown) along the edge 14. A strip for positioning the pad or napkin may be secured to the inside of the garment, e.g. by heat sealing and the pleats 22 may be secured together adjacent the edge 13 by sewing or heat sealing.
