Abstract

958,822. Drinking cups; beakers. KIN CHAO SUN. April 11, 1963 [June 20, 1962], No. 23754/62. Heading A4A. A drinking cup or beaker comprises a receptacle portion 1 and a separable handle assembly 2 which includes spaced rings 8, 9 abutting circumferential shoulders 5, 7 formed on the portion 1. The portion 1 is injection moulded in a thermosetting plastic and has a cylindrical base wall 3, a sloping intermediate wall 4, and a cylindrical top wall 6, the walls being of increasing diameter from the base of the cup upwards. The rings and handle 10 are formed of strip metal and are connected by rivets the assembly being anodised. In a modification the rings are connected by more than one handle.
