Abstract

956,865. Foundry plant. H. J. BAGGELER. July 12, 1960 [July 15, 1959], No. 24314/60. Heading B3F. A casting installation, particularly for seals, comprises an intermittently operated conveyer 1 carrying chill moulds 2 in which the solidified slabs are held until a place on the lower run of the conveyer, whereat they are discharged on to a transfer device 7 from which they are fed into a device 8 which inverts them and from which they are then fed to a stacking device 9. The moulds are so arranged on the conveyer that the first layer has feet in which the fork of a fork lift truck may engage, Fig. 6, and succeeding layers, each comprising four slabs joined by easily breakable webs, Figs. 5 and 4, are arranged alternately.
