Abstract

954,277. Tables &c. D. E. CAMERON. March 13, 1963 [Jan. 31, 1962], No. 3742/62. Heading A4H. A table or other piece of furniture 10 has a base structure comprising three legs 13, 14, 15 of which legs 14, 15 enclose an angle of less than 180‹ over which extends leg 13 at an acute angle to the plane containing legs 14, 15. Leg 13 consists of two relatively telescopic and rotatable parts 16, 17 clamped by a wing bolt 18 to allow vertical adjustment and also angular adjustment by rotating part 17. A book rest 25 is slidable in a bore in the supporting surface 11. In a modification Fig. 2 the upper part 17 of leg 13 receives the lower part 16, has a sheath 30 of plastic and is secured in adjusted position by a screw 29. A detachable tray 31 has a slot 32 through which a screw 33 is inserted into stop 11 and a lamp 36 is provided. The Provisional Specification describes a form in which leg 13 is not telescopic.
