Abstract

953,604. Valves. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 12, 1962 [Dec. 12, 1961], No. 44478/61. Heading F2V. A flow control valve comprises a tapered valve member 4 adjustable relative to an orifice 3, through a fine-pitch thread 5, to control the flow from an inlet 9 through passages 10 to the orifice 3. Scales 12, 13 are formed on the relative movable parts 1, 2 which act in the manner of the scales on a micrometer gauge. Locking may be provided by a reduced diameter surface of a ring 17 bearing against the end of a fibre plug 18. The scale 13 is formed on a sleeve 14 adjustably connected to the part 1 by a grub screw.
