Abstract

952,504. Clamps. HUNTER DOUGLAS INTERNATIONAL (QUEBEC) Ltd. June 27, 1961 [July 4, 1960], No. 23259/61. Heading E2B. A locking device for cords of blinds and the like comprises a housing a pivotal locking member 11 of U-shape and a grinding roller 7 for the cord, the housing being provided also with a wall 12 movable independently of the locking member and located such that the cord may be locked between the wall and the locking member. As shown, the locking member and movable wall are each constituted by a web of a U-shaped member and are pivoted on a common shaft 10, the cord passing through a hole in the web of the locking member and being locked between lips 16 on the member 11 and the wall 12 by tension on the cord when the member 11 moves to the position shown on Fig. 3. The lips 16 on the member 11 may be dispensed with. Specification 952,503 is referred to.
