947,527. Mechanical couplings for wire armouring. SIEMENS - SCHUCKERT (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd., and B. J. DIXON. April 25, 1962 [May 9, 1961], No. 16834/61. Heading H2E. An electric cable gland has two metal surfaces which co-operate to clamp a cable, and a resiliently deformable metal separator with corrugated surfaces placed between them. If the cable has two layers of armour wire clamped between the surfaces the separator may be between the armour wires. In the Figure the separator is conical, alternatively it may be a wire spiral (Fig. 2, not shown).
