946,787. Cleaning tanks. C.P. EQUIPMENT Ltd. Dec. 5, 1961 [Dec. 6, 1960], No. 41876/60. Heading B8T. An apparatus for cleaning the interior of tanks &c. comprises a primary spindle 12 for connection to a liquid supply, a secondary spindle 14 mounted on the spindle 12 for rotation about the primary spindle, and two sets of nozzles 22 mounted on the spindle 14 for rotation about an axis perpendicular to the primary spindle and directed so that jets of liquid issuing from them cause them to rotate in opposite directions about the spindle 14, while gearing 25, 26 between the spindles 14 and 12 causes them both to rotate in the same direction about the spindle 12. A gear train and centrifugal governor may be included, and the nozzles 22 may be readily interchanged with nozzles of alternate shapes.
