A sink unit comprising one or more basins 5, a working table 2, drainers 3 and 4, a projecting edge 7 and back plate 8 has only one overflow aperture 11 located in a bowl 6 and the components are arranged in different planes facilitating the flow of both the liquid accumulated on the surfaces of the sink unit and that over-flowing from the basins 5 towards the overflow 11. The working table 2 has extensions 2<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>11</SP> which surround the basins 5 leaving an opening 13 to prevent liquid from overflowing from one basin 5 to the next. Each basin 5 has an aperture 9 whose positions with that of the overflow 11 form an equilateral triangle; beneath these is a collector 15, connected by tie rods 22, 23, having a base-plate 19 with an aperture 20 and siphon 16. since the apertures 9 and overflow 11 form an equilateral triangle this aperture 20 and siphon 16 can be positioned beneath any of them, by turning the collector 15 around the ortho-centre of the triangle.
