A gun case which can be used for guns of varying dimensions comprises a case 1 divided by a partition 7 into two compartments 5, 6 for receiving the barrel and butt respectively and movable blocks 9-11 in the two compartments adapted to support the barrel and butt and retain them in position. The compartment 6 has a support 8 for the rear end of the butt and a movable block 9 for supporting the front end of the butt and the compartment 5 has two blocks 10, 11 the block 10 accommodating the attachment hook at the chamber end of the barrel and the block 11 supporting the muzzle end of the barrel. At the time of sale and in accordance with the dimensions of the gun the movable blocks are fixed in correct position by means of adhesive.
