Abstract

940,060. Retractive switches. CRAIG & DERRICOTT Ltd. July 8, 1960 [April 10, 1959], No. 12123/59. Heading H2B. A switch unit, e.g. the snap-action switch of Specification 726,902, is plugged into a fixed casing to form a limit switch assembly. The casing 10 has contacts 25 engageable by clip contacts on the rear of the switch unit 34 which is guided into position by dowels 49 entering holes 48, the unit 34 being secured by screws in the dowels. The casing also has a plunger 32 with a flexible skirt 33 and the plunger 38 of the unit 34 takes up position immediately below plunger 32 for actuation thereby. The cover 12 may be completely detachable or hinged to the casing 10. The actuating member may be a lever pivoted on casing 10.
