Abstract

939,758. Drafting tables. HAX & CO. A.G. Feb. 12, 1960 [Feb. 19, 1959], No. 5097/60. Glass 52 (3). [Also in Groups XV and XX] A drawing board 1 provided with a band 4 of paper or the like passing between a winding-on roller and a winding-off roller, or arranged as an endless band passing around rollers 2, 3, is mounted on a stand 6 so as to be rotatable in its own plane about an axis 5 perpendicular thereto, means being provided to maintain the drawing board in any predetermined angular position. The drawing board is supported by cross struts 10, 11 secured to a disc 25 rotatably mounted on a second disc 24. The disc 24 is bolted to a vertically adjustable rod 7 of the stand 6. The disc 25 is provided with notches 29 around its periphery, which are engaged by a spring latch 30 on the disc 24 to hold the drawing board in position. Parallel guiding linkage of a pair of rulers is attached to a strut 23 secured to the disc 24. The position of the roller 2 is adjustable by screw means, so that the tension of the band 4 may be regulated. A sheet of drawing paper is stuck on the band by adhesive strips.
