Abstract

939,501. Valves. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Sept. 29, 1961 [Nov. 15, 1960], No. 35088/61. Class 135. A fluid flow control valve comprises an actuating piston 26 one side 31 of which is connected to a pneumatic supply or exhaust under the control of a valve (not shown) while the other side 33 is connected to atmosphere through passage 34. The piston is loaded by a spring 36 and when the pneumatic supply is fed to space 31 the piston moves against the spring-loading until one end engages a sealing ring 37. In this position, a valve closure member 21 is urged to its seat 22 by a spring 29 and fluid-pressure in the space 31 admitted to a chamber 35. When the pneumatic supply is exhausted, the piston moves to the position shown in which a second valve member 23, rigidly connected to the piston 26, closes on its seat 24. The valves 21, 23 control the supply and exhaust of fluid to and from a space 40.
