Abstract

939,080. Wrapping-machines. FR. HESSER, MASCHINENFABRIK -A.G. June 4, 1962 [Sept. 9, 1961], No. 21371/62. Class 94(1). Rotary folders 5 in a continuously operating wrapping machine are given an additional axial movement towards the ends of the article G being wrapped to retain it in correct transverse alignment during folding. The articles are advanced against stationary tuckers 3 by conveyer flights 1 and the folders 5 form the rear tucks in the tubular wrapper. The folders are moved axially against spring means by face cams, Fig. 2 (not shown). They are accelerated in their rotary motion during folding and then decelerated, by eccentric gears 10, 11 or other known means.
