[Also in Groups XXII and XXVI] A liquid cooled combustion chamber such as for a liquid fuel rocket motor comprises an inner and an outer tube longitudinally welded together at spaced intervals, the composite tube being formed into a thrust nozzle and the internal passages between the welds expanded so as to form cooling chambers. The chamber is subsequently wound with high tensile tape 19 or armour wire. A third tube 26 may be welded to the assembly to form additional cooling passages 29.
