932,738. Binaural reproduction. BLAUPUNKT-WERKE G.m.b.H. Aug. 27, 1959 [Sept. 13, 1958], No. 29282/59. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XL (c)] The cabinet of sound-reproduction apparatus for the selective reproduction of monaural or stereophonic signals has in respective side walls 4, 5 wide range loud-speakers 2, 3 and, in each of the two regions of the front wall 8 adjacent the side walls, a treble loud-speaker 6, 7 connected to the wide range loud-speaker in the adjacent side wall. For monaural reproduction the four loud-speakers are connected to amplifier 9 while for stereophonic reproduction loud-speakers 2, 6 are connected to amplifier 9 and loud-speakers 3, 7 are connected to amplifier 10. The connections are altered by a switch 11 connected to the amplifier outputs. A change-over switch (not shown) may be inserted at input of amplifier 10 in order to adapt the amplifier input conditions to monaural or stereophonic signals as required.
