Abstract

Granular fertilizers comprising ammonium nitrate, monoammonium phosphate and potassium chloride and having an N : P2O5 : K2O weight per cent ratio of from 18 : 9 : 9 to 22,5 : 11 : 11, are prepared by mixing the ingredients, together with recycled fines, if desired, in the presence of water in an amount of from 0,5% to 5,5% by weight of the total mixture and at 20 DEG C. to 95 DEG C., to obtain granules which are dried at a temperature not exceeding 105 DEG C. and sieved. Ammonium sulphate may be included and the ratio may be 20 : 10 : 10. The monoammonium phosphate, ammonium sulphate and ammonium nitrate may be added as solutions or slurries. The granules obtained may be coated with oil and an inert powder, e.g. kaolin, kieselguhr or talc. Examples are given.
