931,505. Change-giving apparatus. FISHER & LUDLOW Ltd. Aug. 22, 1961 [July 30, 1960], No. 26615/60. Class 27. The coin magazine 10 of the change-giving mechanism of a vending machine has recesses 14 of different dimensions at opposite ends so that by reversing it end for end different numbers or denominations of coins can be dispensed. The magazine tube 10 has a longitudinal slot down its front and four corner pillars 13. which are extended at the ends 15 to form, in conjunction with a removable closure plate 16, the recesses 14. An apertured delivery slide 18 fits in one recess 14 (i.e. the lower as shown and a second slide 26 of a thickness corresponding to the recess at the other end is carried in a magazine mounting bracket 22 secured to the vending machine. The bracket has four L-shaped lugs 23 which fit alternatively in upper or lower pairs of recesses 24 provided in two of the corner pillars and a pair of spring clips 25 also engage the two pillars. Several tubes may be mounted together and may be reversible as a whole.
