931,269. Pressing sugar cubes. O.V. LOESSL, and H. BORNER, [trading as PFEIFER & LANGEN ZUCKERFABRIKEN]. Jan. 21, 1960 [Jan. 21, 1959], No. 2251/60. Class 87(2). Sugar cubes are pressed from moist sugar by core-shooting under compressed air into mould recesses 7 through funnel-shaped opening 12b of a plate 12. Air escapes via sieve 13 and recesses 12a to channels in plate 12 and the atmosphere. Slides 8 eject the cubes and a clearing comb or belt moves them on to a conveyer or leading to drying and packing stations. The mould table is rotary and may comprise moulding, ejecting washing and filling positions, Fig. 5 (not shown).
