930,559. Holding down means for textile spindles. SPINTEX SPINNEREI-MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H., and SPINNEREIMASCHINENBAU, STIEHL & FROMM, G.m.b.H. Jan. 12, 1961, No. 1326/61. Class 120 (2). In a spindle mounting in which the whorl 6 of the spindle blade 7 encloses a housing neck 1, a locking member 4 is positioned between a bevel 3 on the housing 1 and a bevel 10 in the whorl 6 so that if the spindle 7 is unintentionally raised the member 4 wedges between bevels 3, 10 to prevent its removal. The member 4 is made from a resilient material such as a metal or a plastics material (e.g. a polyamide) and has an upper flange 12 radially cut to form resilient tongues. To remove the spindle, member 4 is held down, so that bevel 10 urges flange 12 inwardly, as the spindle is lifted, to allow bevel 10 to move past bevel 3. In a further form the resilient locking member detachably engages the inside of the whorl and has an outward flange at its lower end to form the lower flange of the whorl.
