Abstract

929,293. X-Ray systems. MACHLETT LABORATORIES Inc. March 9, 1961 [March 31, 1960], No. 8656/61. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XL (a)] A system for selectively producing conventional radiographic or cineradiographic exposures comprises an X-ray tube having a large focal spot filament 55 for conventional X- rays, and small focal spot filament 50 havirg a field forming switching grid 46 energized at the same time for cineradiographic X-rays, the grid normally being negatively biased to prevent electron flow, square positive pulses being applied when an exposure is required. A relay switching system is provided to select one or other filaments. Specification 824,998 is referred to.
