An acoustic panel in or for a house or kiosk is of a particulate material such as wood chips, asbestos, or a synthetic resin and has circular or elliptically sectioned cavities 14 preferably extending from one end of the panel to the other filled with lead, or when assembled in a structure, sand. The panel may also include soundabsorbing chambers 15 which communicate with the faces of the panel by slots, grooves, or holes. A structure may comprise panels in parallel spaced relationship.
