927,335. Knitting-machines. FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE S.A. April 20, 1960 [April 24, 1959], No. 13827/60. Class 74 (2). An outer casing surrounding the needle cylin der of a circular machine comprises a cylindrical, tubular member 1 having an integral, outwardly extending annular base 2, and an upper, annular, rigidly secured plate 4 and, between base and plate, openings 6 for the needle jack selector operating blades 7. The plate 4 seats on a shoulder 3 on the tube and may be secured by screws engaging in holes 5. The upper part of the plate 4 and that part of the tube above the shoulder may be formed with openings 9, 8 and/or grooves, for passage or free movement of parts such as needle cams.
