926,543. Valves. RAINSFORD & LYNES Ltd., and R. K. LYNES. March 2, 1962 [March 3, 1961], No.. 7770/61. Class 135. A comprises a body 3 provided with an inlet passage 4, a plurality of separate outlet passages 5, 6, a plurality of jet nozzles 13 mounted one in each of the outlet passages, a cylindrical control plug 8 rotatably mounted in a chamber 7 and provided with an annular channel 11 in communication with the inlet passage, at least one port A extending between the channel and an end face of the plug for registration with an outlet passage, and an 0-ring 17 providing a fluid-tight seal between the presented faces of the body and plug about an outlet passage. In the preferred embodiment, the plug 8 is located in the body and urged downwardly by a bowed circlip 15 while a finger-piece 20 has a nose 24 for selective engagement with four sets of V-shaped notches 25 so that two ports in the plug may be brought alternately into registration with one of the outlets or be moved into positions in which neither or both are in registration. Rotation of the plug is limited by stop faces 22 on the finger-piece co-operating with a projection 23 on the body. The valve may control the gas supply to a heater and the nozzles 13 may be of the kind used in carburettors.
