Abstract

924,921. Split rings. THOMAS FRENCH & SONS Ltd. Sept. 29, 1959 [Oct. 4, 1958], No. 31751/58. Class 44. A split ring of the kind having overlapped ends which are adapted to be opened to allow the ring to be engaged with an object, is made so that the ends of the ring are each formed with integral complementary hook and eye formations such that engaging and disengaging movements of the formations have a substantial axial component. The formations at each end are alike and each provides an eye 12 for a hook 13 of the other end. The formations are formed so that one face of each eye is continuous with an inclined face of a contiguous hook.
