923,980. Rotary meters. COMPAGNIE DES COMPTEURS. Feb. 24, 1961 [March 8, 1960], No. 6906/61. Class 110 (2). A rotary liquid meter of the turbine type, comprises a freely rotatable injection box 3, Figs. 1 and 2, driving recording mechanism 2 and a freely rotatable vaned turbine 4 mounted within the box between a pivot 7 and a spindle 8. The box whose rotation axis is perpendicular to a tubular member 1 through which liquid flow takes place projects into the tubular member and is formed with slots 3<SP>1</SP> extending substantially along its length directing part of the liquid flow substantially normal to the turbine blades. The blades rotate and in turn help to start the rotation in the same direction of the higher inertia box and stabilize its speed to improve the accuracy of the meter.
