921,526. Refractory bricks. VEITSCHER MAGNESITWERKE A.G. June 10, 1960 [June 12, 1959; Dec. 24, 1959], No. 20587/60. Class 51 (2). In a furnace lining comprising basic or neutral refractory bricks 10, 11 and 12 each brick has two halves 16 and 17 of differing materials surrounded by a sheet metal casing and completed by a plate 18. The dividing line may be formed by an insert which is later removed or the inset 20 may be left in the brick. The refractory brick 22, Fig. 2, comprises two halves 26 and 27 of differing materials separated by a corrugated insert 25 welded to a sheet metal casing 23 formed with a suspension tap 24. The refractory material may be magnesia or chrome-magnesia or magnesia-chrome with or without a binding agent.
