921,383. Ladders. F. BORAM. Aug. 26, 1960 [Aug. 11, 1959], No. 27447/59. Class 20 (2). [Also in Group XXII] A metal ladder has rungs the ends of which are cut away to form projections 2 which fit in apertures 4 and are riveted, welded or glued in position. The web of an I-section rung may form a tongue 3 to fit in a slot 5. T- and U- section rungs may be cut away to form similar projections and tongues. The stiles are of I-, T- or U-section and have resilient material 14 in dovetail recesses on the outside of the flanges to prevent slip or damage to the surface on which it rests or between sections of an extension ladder.
