Abstract

A filter for cleaning exhaust gas comprises a liquid bath 1, 5 into which gas is fed down a central pipe 6, emerging through a cluster of inclined secondary pipes into the liquid, then rising through slotted filter 3, mesh filter 4 and annular disc filters 7 to an upper filter housing 8, which encloses a further mesh filter 10 and a splash plate 11. Any liquid separated from the outgoing gas in housing 8 is drained back to bath 1, 5. <IMAGE>
