Abstract

919,895. Mounting outboard motors. SOUTH WESTERN MARINE FACTORS Ltd. June 1, 1961 [June 2, 1960; Aug. 19, 1960], Nos. 19625/60 and 28876/60. Class 114. An outboard motor is mounted on a member which can be pivoted and moved inwardly so that the motor can be disposed substantially wholly within the length of the boat. The outboard motor 5 is fixed to a plate 3 which fits into the cut away 4 in the transom 2. The plate has brackets 6 carrying rollers 7 and 8 and guide rails 10 are secured on each side of the boat. To bring the motor 5 inboard the plate 3 is pivoted about the rollers 8 to bring rollers 7 into line with the guides and both rollers 7 and 8 are moved in the guides until the motor 5 secured to the transom plate 3 is wholly within the boat.
