Abstract

919,715. Tables. STANBROOK, F. W. S. March 23, 1961 [June 13,1960], No. 20632/60. Class 52 (3). [Also in Group XV]- A drawing board or tray is provided with hinged hangers 4 which are adapted to be moved from a collapsed out-of-use position in which they lie flat against the underside of the board to an in-use position in which they extend upwardly, the upper ends of said hangers being adapted to hook over the shoulders of a user. The lower limbs 3 of the hangers are loaded by springs 6 housed in sleeves 7 positioned between brackets 2. The springs are held between abutments 3a on the limbs 3 and one of each pair of brackets 2. Alternatively, each spring is positioned between an abutment 9 on the outer end of a limb 3 and the adjacent bracket 2. Notches 8 in the rear edge of the board retain the hangers in the upright position. The underside of the board may be provided with clips or stops to retain the hangers in their out-of-use position. According to the Provisional Specification, the board may carry an elastic waist band.
