919,474. Fluid actuation of switches. GIRLING Ltd. June 20, 1960 [June 19, 1959], No. 21066/59. Class 38 (5). In a pressurestat, fixed contacts 1 are normally bridged by a spring-loaded conducting ball 2. The pressurestat is actuated at a predetermined pressure in a fluid pressure supply which depresses piston 11 and plunger 9 against the resistance of spring 13 and moves the ball 2 to open the contacts. The operating pressure can be adjusted by a screw-threaded abutmentring 15 for spring 13.
