Abstract

918,921. Girdles. FORTUNA FOUNDATIONS Inc. March 17, 1959 [March 25, 1958], No. 9253/59. Class 141. Each half of the front portion of a girdle or pantie-girdle comprises superposed outer and inner layers 28, 29 of two-way stretch elastic material having their respective weft lines inclined in opposite directions with respect to the horizontal. The layers 28, 29 are formed by a single bias-cut blank folded along the vertical centre-line 33. The back of the girdle comprises a centre panel 12 of vertically stretchable material and side panels 13, 14 of two-way stretch fabric.
