Abstract

917,363. Control of D.C. motors. PERKINELMER Ltd. Aug. 25, 1961 [Nov. 16, 1960], No. 39373/60. Class 38 (3). A permanent magnet motor 1 has its speed controlled by a transistor emitter-follower 2 whose base is connected to the tapping-point 6 of potentiometer 5. The tapping 6 may be operated automatically in accordance with a predetermined programme, and a reversing switch 10 may be associated with the motor. In another arrangement, the base of the transistor 2 is connected to the emitter of a second transistor whose base is connected to the tapping 6, Fig. 2 (not shown).
