Abstract

Basically substituted 6 - methylergolene-(9) derivatives of the general formula <FORM:0913649/IV (b)/1> (wherein R represents a 6-methylergolen-(9)-yl-(8) or 6-methylisoergolen-(9)-yl-(8) radical) are produced by reduction with lithium aluminium hydride of a lysergic or isolysergic acid piperidide of the general formula <FORM:0913649/IV (b)/2> The products may be converted into acid addition or quaternary ammonium salts.
