Abstract

909,012. Lamp-holders. DAVIS & TRIMMINS Ltd. May 29, 1961 [June 17, 1960], No. 21374/60. Class 38 (1). In an electric lamp-holder of the bayonet type each plunger contact 7, 8 consists of a single integral piece of metal having a part 9 which is non-circular in section and is a sliding fit in a similarly-shaped opening 15, 16 in the body 1 of the holder, each plunger 7, 8 being surrounded by a coiled compression spring 17, 18, one end of which bears against the body 1, the other end 19 engaging in a peripheral groove 11 in the plunger, and each plunger 7, 8 being retained in the body 1 by a cross-pin 13 which projects laterally from the plunger and engages with the body. The cross-pin 13 is preferably integral with the hexagonal body of the plunger (Fig. 4, not shown). The springs 17, 18 may be of stainless steel.
