Abstract

907,605. Bracelets. FORSTNER Inc. Feb. 21, 1961 [March 14, 1960], No. 6256/61. Class 43. [Also in Group XXV] A bracelet comprises a pair of chain members, the free ends of which extend through opposed openings in a slide lock, in which guide means frictionally engage the chain members and spring means engage and urge the guide means into frictional engagement with the chain members wherein relative movement between the slide lock and chain members varies the effective length of the chain members. The free ends of the bracelet pass through opposed apertures in two interfitting shells 52, 54 comprising the slide lock 50. The edge of one shell frictionally engages the flanged rim of the other shell. The concave surfaces of a pair of curved springs 70 within the slide lock engage the convex surfaces of two guides 62 to frictionally grip the ends. The convex surfaces provide a channel for the free ends. The free ends may comprise chain links attached to an extensible bracelet.
