Abstract

906,187. Coated copying paper. ANCAR A.G. May 16, 1960 [Jan. 14, 1960; Feb. 11, 1960], No. 17259/60. Class 96. Coated copying paper 1 for duplicating without the use of separate carbon paper, as disclosed in Specification 901,028, has the coloured transfer coating 2 covered by a thin protective coating 3 which is white or coloured (particularly of a like colour to that of the coating 2), which obliterates the colour of the coating 2, which is waterproof and resistant to handling or wiping and which is destroyed when, under writing pressure or typing impact, the colour 2 is transferred to the prepared surface of the copy-receiving paper. The coating 3 may include softeners, non-drying oil, casein, dextrin, synthetic or natural resin, carbolic acid, watercolours, and lithographic colours. It may have a pattern on it or may be formed as a pattern, e.g. it may be covered with or formed as a fine lattice.
