Abstract

903,231. Window operating mechanism. HOPE & SONS Ltd., HENRY. April 25, 1961 [April 26, 1960], No. 14536/60. Class 20 (3). [Also in Group XXIV] Mechanism for actuating one or more windows comprises a tube 12 threaded interiorly and exteriorly with threads 12, 20 of opposite hands and driven by rotation of a short sleeve 13 secured against axial movement in a gear-box 18 and internally threaded to engage the external thread 12 and which is secured to the tube by pegs 14, the thread 12 being engaged also by a threaded tube 10 and the thread 20 by a threaded inner rod 11 extending along the tube 10, the members 10, 11 being coupled by respective links as described in Specification 749,145 to one or more movable windows. The sleeve 13 is provided with a gear-wheel 15, manually or power-operated and mounted in bearings 17 in the gear-box 18. The members 10, 11 may be connected to cable remoteoperating means.
